Join our team at Climate Week NYC from September 17th to 24th in New York. This annual event happens in partnership with the United Nations General Assembly and is run in coordination with the United Nations and the City of New York.

The event will tackle three main questions:

  • Climate action is not moving fast enough across the globe and those in positions of power have a responsibility to act without delay. Where must investment be channelled, and what vested interests need to be held accountable?
  • We have made huge strides evidenced by the billions committed by the US, China and the EU boost green technology and energy security. We know we have the solutions to the climate crisis. But how do we ensure they are implemented?
  • Where have we picked up our biggest wins so far and how can we use the collective will of the climate community to remain inspired, stay the course and continue to drive climate action, fast?

The theme of “we can, we will” reflects determination, focus, but also a hopeful promise, and a call to action to do it together. It touches upon the action we need to take now, but also the need to look ahead and explore new opportunities.

We’ve seen some promising wins when it comes to renewables and financing, but we can’t rest on our laurels. We’re entering a new phase where we need to look at what comes next: tripling clean investments, finding new solutions, taking concrete action, exploring new opportunities and solutions, and breaking down barriers together.

About Carbon Capture USA: At the summit, industry leaders will meet in California, USA to explore next-generation technologies for carbon capture, utilization, storage, and transportation to meet net-zero emissions targets.

Carbon dioxide levels in the Earth’s atmosphere have increased to critical levels and tackling climate change is one of the biggest global challenges that require immediate action. Industries and government agencies are now looking at innovative ways to create a circular carbon economy.

Carbon capture, utilization, and storage, or CCUS, is an emerging technology for reducing carbon emissions produced from energy production, heavy industries, and transportation. The captured CO₂ can be used as a valuable resource or permanently stored deep underground in geological formations, providing the foundation for carbon removal from the atmosphere. By creating new CCUS-based business models, industries can significantly reduce their carbon footprints and address the climate-energy challenges for the modern era.

The key focus for this year’s event will be “Working in collaboration with Industry” by sharing expertise, building capacity, and providing advice and support so that CCUS can play an integral role in reducing carbon emissions. Government agencies, global corporations, research bodies, and non-government organizations committed to learning and adopting CCUS technologies will participate in this event.

Key topics on this year’s agenda include:

  • Making an economic assessment for carbon capture, utilization, and storage
  • Reducing carbon emissions by industry sector – Challenges and Opportunities
  • New CCUS technologies and engineering know-how in developing the infrastructure
  • Supporting the industry with upcoming regulations and new environmental policies
  • Building a business model for CCUS with cost-reduction and commercialization
  • Latest projects and transportation networks for CO2 storage and utilization

Join our team next week in Houston, TX for the Carbon Capture Technology Expo North America held from June 14-15th.

This two-day event is dedicated to discussing the increasing role that Carbon Capture, Utilization & Storage (CCUS) will play in the transition to a net-zero carbon economy. Leading experts from around the world will discuss the latest advances in new technology for carbon capture, storage, and transport, as well as unique ways of utilizing CO2 to produce net-zero fuels and for other manufacturing processes.

Register, here.

About Carbon Capture Technology Expo: Carbon capture, utilization and storage technologies (CCUS) are set to play a crucial role in the world’s future decarbonization efforts. Alongside other mitigation techniques and further advances in renewable energy innovations, they are increasingly seen as powerful – and necessary – tools to reduce and potentially eliminate carbon dioxide emissions from entering the atmosphere as well as removing existing CO2 from the air.

Carbon Capture Technology Expo North America will unveil the very latest current and emerging technologies from some of the sector’s leading experts and energy leaders while providing a showcase for innovative models that can capture carbon’s potential by turning CO2 by-products into profitable applications for concrete, carbon fiber, polymers, food, fertilizers, liquid fuels, chemicals, graphene and more.

Naturally where there are opportunities there are challenges, not least in the cost-effective transportation and storage of industrial CO2, storage space and integrity, demand for CO2, incentivization and ROI, and the policies needed as well as the legal and regulatory frameworks. Possibly the most daunting challenge will be balancing the energy demands of a truly effective large-scale CCS infrastructure.

What is abundantly clear is that we need to accelerate and deploy CCS projects across industry sectors to achieve a critical mass of commercial deployment by 2030, in order to reach the economy-wide scale needed to meet mid-century decarbonization targets.

The will bring together more than 100 international speakers and over 400 delegates to debate and discuss the latest technologies and solutions, strategies, innovations, current and future regulations, by-products and strategies for captured CO2 and the latest and next-generation techniques and models to help foster a truly sustainable, cost-effective and resource-efficient CCUS sector.

About World Petroleum Congress: The 24th edition of the World Petroleum Congress will be an important bridge between the traditional energy sector and a more carbon-neutral industry over the next twenty-five years. Many important conversations will happen in Calgary to help define realistic, workable paths to a net zero future. World population is still increasing, and billions of people need to be brought out of energy poverty, requiring more energy in the future than today.  Our challenge is to involve all stakeholders so that our energy transformation is responsible and reflects good governance and the needs of society, the climate, and the environment, leading to a reliable, economically viable, and sustainable energy future and a better world for all. This will be the net zero approach addressed at the Congress.

Join Kanin Energy’s team at the Electricity Transformation Canada, happening from October 23rd to October 25th in Calgary, AB, at the BMO Center. This is an opportunity to connect, collaborate and capitalize on energy issues.

  • Connect in person with CanREA and its members.
  • Collaborate to access exclusive insight and make strategic connections with various stakeholders in the wind power, solar power and energy storage industries.
  • Capitalize and invest with confidence in Canada’s transformation to electricity by having access to the latest technologies and innovations.

Kanin Energy is able to provide baseload energy that is readily available power that can meet the requirements of an electricity grid at any time of day. In contrast, intermittent electricity is power that is not continuously available. Wind and solar energy are examples of intermittent electricity generation because while they complement each other, on their own they are only able to generate when there are sun and wind available. Waste Heat to Power from industrial processes generates baseload electricity because the processes it connects to are in operation continuously. In electricity markets, clean baseload power is a valuable component of the power mix for utilities decarbonizing their grids.

Connect with our team to learn more about baseload energy and make sure to register for the event, here.
