Combined Heat & Power · Cogeneration

Power and Heat,
engineered as one.

With utility power prices rising sharply across North America, industrials with both heat and power needs can leverage CHP to control energy costs and reliability.

01 — Technologies

Technology Agnostic Project Development

we leverage several technologies as primary movers for CHP systems, each with its own benefits and considerations

01

Gas Turbines

High-capacity power output with substantial recoverable exhaust heat — built for large continuous loads.

02

Reciprocating Engines

Flexible part-load performance and fast start capability — strong fit for variable industrial demand.
03

Fuel Cells

Quiet, low-emission electrochemical generation with usable thermal output for sensitive sites.
02 — Design Philosophy

Power-led or heat-led. The site decides.

Power-led

Solving primarily for power.

Heat recovery becomes the productive by-product. Ideal where electricity is the limiting resource.

Heat-led

Solving primarily for thermal.

Power is generated as a by-product, either consumed on site or exported. Ideal where heat drives the process.

03 — Carbon Emissions

Efficiency that translates directly to lower emissions.

Beyond the economic benefits, CHP has the potential to lower carbon emissions of the system due to its ability to reach energy efficiencies of 60–80%.

To calculate the emissions savings of a CHP system, we compare its carbon intensity to the carbon intensity of separately burning natural gas for heat and sourcing power from the electric grid. Where electric grids are still mainly fossil-based, CHP systems deliver significant carbon savings.
